It all began when Teresa Foster, Gerardo Martin and Jaime Peñaherrera met for coffee in Napa to explore how a local space for thoughtful civic dialogue might benefit the community. Around that time, efforts in Santa Rosa were bringing Latino leaders together and creating momentum for greater representation, which helped inspire and shape Los Cien Sonoma County. Having seen the impact of Los Cien in Sonoma County, Jaime shared the idea of bringing a similar model to Napa as a way to encourage connection, conversation, and collaboration among leaders in the region. Those early discussions planted the seeds for what would grow into the Latino Leader Round Table (LLRT).
LLRT grew from a shared desire to bring people together across sectors, backgrounds, and perspectives. LLRT was created as a place where Latino and non-Latino leaders could engage thoughtfully, explore community challenges, and strengthen the relationships needed for long-term progress. What began as a simple conversation has grown into a collaborative space committed to the well-being and future of our region.
